Quad tone the CS4 way!

I hacked through my last quad tone with CS2 with a book about CS4. It turned out pretty good but it took For..ev..er. This one was quick and easy. It turned out a bit dark but I think it adds to the allure of the photo. I hope you like it.

I took this at the top of Hidden Peak over looking Little Cottonwood Canyon to the Salt Lake Valley. We took the Snowbird Tram to get there.

Yellowstone 09

I am back my peeps! (as if any one visits my blog) I hope this finds everyone well. I have a bunch of pics from our trip to Yellowstone this summer that I thought you would enjoy. So um...enjoy!?

WAY to close to a bear. Black and white with color mask.

I took this outside our cabin. I used a head lamp to light the trees. 5.4 minute exposure.

Same story here. It is a little softer due to the lower f stop but it still is cool looking. 3.3 minute exposure.

Practice, Practice, Practice!

Just went out to shoot on my lunch break to practice. Then I used the Hue/Saturation and Level controls in Photoshop to make it a little more appealing. Big Cottonwood Canyon UT.

First Stab at Macro

This is my first stab at doing macro photography. Flowers are not my normal subjects. I actually enjoyed taking this photo. There is something therapeutic about shooting flowers.

Moabness

Dead Horse Point Shoot

Sunset at Dead Horse Point State Park. Shooting right at the sun is more difficult than I thought it would be.

The Vitruvian Man silhouette.

Rock formations at sunset.

Same rock formation silhouette.

Great view.

Dead Horse Point Quad Tone

This is my first Quad Tone. I just kinda winged it.

Just for fun...

My dad took this one. We hiked to Dog Lake up Millcreek Canyon and got this gem while Anna and I played in the lake. Good times!

The Subway

My version of this famous picture. I took this on one of our trips through The Subway. No editing.

A little overwhelming...

Ok here's the deal...I have a lot of pictures that I have already taken that I am proud of. The thought of getting them all on the blog is a little daunting. I am going to slowly but surely get all of them up. Until then here are a few of my favorites.

Why another one...?

I wanted to start another blog. Why? Why not? I love photography and want to share my progress as I get better. I also wanted a place to share the pictures for some of the adventures I have been on and will go on. I will try to share tips and specifics on pictures I take and places I go.
